BE BOLD, BE BRAVE, BE FREE

This is what my brothers and sisters have been working hard on in California. Carol sent me this email and pics , so I thought I'd post it.

"Hi All -
Years ago, if someone had told me that someday I would be spending hours on a street corner with my *3* and *6* year olds, doing this for Family Home Evening, I'm not sure what I would have thought. We all know the last days are here, but I really didn't think we'd be fighting like this already. I pictured this happening years down the road. It really puts into perspective how strong we must be as parents, for our children who will have a much heavier burden than ours. It makes me emotional... Not to be dramatic, but this is just the beginning. We have to know where we stand and our children have to know it as well. Even if that means giving up popular TV shows, etc.

Some of you already know that Ron was assaulted by a "NO" supporter at the end of the night. It was a *very* cheap shot and the guy is lucky that Ron ducked so it didn't hit him in the head. He's even more lucky that he ran away because we all know that Ron could have flattened him into the ground. Ron has a nice "battle wound" - a big scratch and welt across his back. And yes, we have filed a police report. We're just grateful it wasn't worse than it was. Despite the attack, we had a good experience as a family, as did many of our ward members. We are also glad the election is only a week away. :) Keep praying for Prop 8 to pass!!! And don't forget Fast Sunday this week!We love you all! Enjoy the pictures!Love - Carol

GOD BLESS THE CHILD

My friend Ashley (Whitman) Larsen lost her 1 month old baby boy Jace to a rare lung disorder (1 in every million are born with it) . A fund raiser has been set up to help them out. Or if you'd rather just donate money let me know. It would really help them out and just think of all the blessing you'll recieve for doing it! Thanks.

Most of you know Daryl and Ashley Larsen. For those of you who don't, they are a young couple here in Perry, who just lost their baby to a rare lung disorder. Their loss is truly a tragedy. They are now experiencing the beginnings of what will be a land slide of medical bills. In an effort to aide them, there will be a one day fundraiser at the Maddox Steak House. On November 5, you can call Maddox at 723-2916 and order the Turkey Steak dinner. You can choose the 2 or 4 family meal at the regular price. All proceeds will then be donated to the Larsen family. You do need to remember to mention the Larsen family name when ordering. You can then pick up your meal at the take out window in the back of Maddox. It will be for lunch and dinner. Please spread the word. Feel free to copy and paste this post on your blog .

SHELOB'S LAIR

So, Lanie and I moved into her cousins basement in Sugarhouse the last week of August. Little did we know it already had tenants!! A bizzillion HOBO SPIDERS!!! And they were ginormous. I had to sleep with the light on and a can of bug spray. We did get the apartment sprayed which seemed to help with the spiders but not so much with the lovely CAT URINE smell!!!

One night I found a huge one ,as big as a tangerine ,on the blanket on the couch so I bug sprayed it and left it's dead body there to show Brandon (Lanie's cousin) how big they are because the boys upstairs thought we were wimps. He finally comes down when he got home from work and he was looking at it and screamed "Oh my gosh! There's another one!" So we both are screaming and we moved the table and he stepped on it. And I thought he said there was another one behind me, so I start screaming again and then he starts screaming. 10 minutes later when we're done screaming like girls, we went upstairs because we were so creeped out! BTW, it's not the best idea to use bug spray on blankets!!!

My lovely bedroom! Notice the lovely drainage pipe, not to mention the panels that cover up the asbestis ceiling, yep, that's right!
Nice Closet!! haha
Notice the air freshners! I'd never bought more ferbreze in my life!

Bathroom. The shower was more of a mister!

So, we moved home about 3 weeks ish ago! Her parents live around the corner from mine. I'm only home for 6 hours a night to sleep and shower anyway. So paying rent for that apartment was definitely not worth it!

TOOK ME LONG ENOUGH!

Well, It took me a week to figure out I'd been tagged by Kourtney, ha ha!!

Here are the rules- List 6 of your quirks (also known as things that show a little bit of OCD!!)- Tag six other bloggers (I tag Cookie, Kylene, Meg, Britt, and Trisha!)
Quirks

1. I eat my banana's in strips and preferably dipped in chocolate.
2. I'm EXTREMELY annul about keeping my dvd cases and cd cases pretty and unmarked. And don't touch any of my collectible items without asking, I will beat you.
3. Don't bend down the pages of my books BUT feel free to margin write in them and underline anything you feel is worthwhile. I prefer paperback.
4. I play sports , guitar , talk on the phone, and eat left handed but I write with my right. Very weird.
5. I prefer odd numbers EXCEPT when it comes to eggs. There has to be an even amount of eggs in the carton at all times. If there isn't, I'll take one out and put it somewhere else in the fridge. It's best if I don't have cartons of eggs.
6. I like to lay in the snow in the middle of the night when everyone else is asleep.

It's sad to think that I could keep going with this list......

A FRIEND LIKE YOU

Britt and I went to Lagoon/Frightmares for a much needed girls day this past weekend. It was awesome since it was cold, rainy and snowy. We rode all the rides as many times as we wanted without waiting! We went on blast off (I think it's called) and we were waiting for it to go off when we hear over the loud speaker, "Please re-check seat 5!" Britt looks down and says "Oh my gosh! It's you!!" "Of course it's me! Just my luck, death by amusement park ride!" I only went on that ride once, haha!

I was a bit to short!
Going into a haunted ride!!

This was one of the haunted houses we went in.

After I took his picture, he snuck up behind me and scared me half to death!
A 3-D haunted house! It was awesome. But if you don't like clowns, don't go in it. It's all clowns, at one point this huge group caught up to us (because we kept running into walls) We heard this chain saw go off and Britt is terrified of them. So we tagged along with the big group thinking they'd be a distraction, NOT SO! Mr. Chainsaw chased us out of the haunted house and completely over looked the big group, haha!
We went to cafe zupas for soup and fondue afterwards... yumo!

A new and mysterious world came in over night!! The first snow fall of the season! I love making snow angels!

I am way late in posting these pics and everyone else has but I didn't want to be left out!! Over Labor Day Cookie, Olivia, my Mom, and I went to Spokane for a BFF reunion! We hadn't seen our friends in 13-14 years! It was so much fun!Jessy and Taraka

Jessy, me, Erika, Tiffany and her little boy, Cookie and Olivia, and Taraka

Baby Will!! He is so cute!

Olivia and Tucker!!

On occassion we can be normal, but most of the time we aren't!! Cookie is in desperate need of a hug! haha!
Feeding the goat at Riverfront Park!! My favorite!

We met Meg and her family at the park! It's so funny that after 13 years of not seeing her we picked where we left off but 13 years later! If that makes sense? It does to me! She has 3 blonde hair brown-eyed kids, Owen, Cole and Avery, who are so adorable! I've always wanted a brown-eyed blonde haired kid so if I don't have one I'm taking one of hers!!
We had a BBQ at Erika's house, and she also has three adorable kiddos! Kaylee, Marcus, and Alyssa. I'd take any of her kids as well! I can't wait to come back and visit or move there! Miss and love you guys!

In this video, Tucker is showing Olivia how to walk!
